HAND CRAFTED ITEMS... MAKE SURE THEY ARE REAL AND NOT FAKED

Hello folks I am the ole woodcrafter.

Seeing a customer purchase one of your handcrafted items brings great satisfaction to the one that crafted the item.. sort of like an artist would feel in selling one of his works of art…in some ways it is a work of art.

A true handcrafted item is that one item will never look just like the one that is setting next to it... and that is the beauty of it.

I being a crafter find that true American made handcrafted items are put together or assembled far more better than those that are found in certain parts of the world…. and you know what I mean by that… those items that imported here to this country with a brand on it that states hand made.

All across this great country of ours one will find moms and pops and even sisters and brothers in basements, sewing rooms, living rooms, out door work shops building hand crafted items either for themselves, family, or to sell at craft fairs.
I and other folks group all these fine folks together and call them.. American artist..

Buying American made crafted items are indeed very important.
A few reasons why they are important.

One.. They are made in America.. I call it taking pride in your country.

Two.. You know what you are getting buy buying american.... remember the foreign pet food scare... when bad pet food was shipped here and our pets died by the hundreds in this country. then there was the toy problems with lead in the toys.

Three..By buying american crafts... Your helping your community, church, and town when they sponsor craft events to raise funds.

Four.. Those moms and pops I spoke about earlier… your helping to put food on the table and making ends meet like paying for medication and paying the bills.

And there are other reasons for buying American made crafted items but that can get really political...
I’ll just mention the one since folks can get pretty heated over political things.. And that is…. and that is...
NOPE I’M NOT GOING TO SAY IT..... I am not going to say what the news reports says about... crafted items along with other items like clothing, shoes, toys, and much much more that are made in... foreign sweat shops where children make the items... they have no child labor laws... heck they have no rights at all.

But let us get back on subject of craft.

How can one tell if its not from the good ole USA
Read the labels… sometimes it will state what country it was made in… look at the crafted items to see if it looks the same as the one setting next to it does.

Study the item closely.. Does it look cheap or Put together cheap...does it fall apart in your hands as you are looking at it....this really did happen to me more than once.

Ask questions… ask the crafter how was the item made, what tools did they use to make the item.. To a real crafter this makes great conversation for they are proud of their work and they love to talk about it.
Well folks that will be all for now… I put my two cents in… I hope it saves the world.. LOL..
God bless and good day

my one true friend

My one true friend
The one absolutely unselfish friend that man can have in this selfish world,
the one that never deserts him,
the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous, is his dog.
A man's dog stands by him in prosperity and poverty, in health and sickness -
He will sleep on the cold ground where the wintry winds blow and the snow drives fiercely, if only he may be near his master's side.
He will kiss the hand that has no food to offer,
He will lick the wounds and sores that come in encounter with the roughness of the world.
He guards the sleep of his pauper master as if he were a prince. --
When all other friends desert he remains. -
When riches take wings and reputation falls to pieces,
He is as constant in his love as the sun in its journey through the heavens.

Thoughts About A dogs Soul

A Thought About A Dog’s Soul

Every dog must have a soul
Somewhere deep inside
Where all his hurts and grievances
Are buried with his pride
Where he decides the good and bad
The wrong way from the right,
And where his judgment carefully
Is hidden from our sight.
A dog must have a secret place
Where every thought abides,
A sort of close acquaintance that
He trusts in and confides.
And when accused unjustly for
Himself, He cannot speak,
Rebuked, He finds within his soul
The comfort he must seek.
He’ll love, tho’ he is unloved,
And he’ll serve tho’ badly used,
And one kind word will wipe away
The times when he’s abused.
Altho’ his heart may break in two
His love will still be whole,
Because God gave to every dog
An understanding Soul!

PLEASE LOOK INTO MY EYES...A PET SPEAKS OUT

PLEASE LOOK DEEP INTO MY EYES..A PET SPEAKS OUT

....by Ron Snider the ole woodcrafter

I am your dog, and I have a little something I'd like to whisper in your

ear. I know that you humans lead busy lives. Some have to work, some

have children to raise. It always seems like you are running here and

there, often much too fast, often never noticing the truly grand things

in life. Look down at me now, while you sit there at your computer. See

the way my dark brown eyes look at yours? Look deeply into them… They are slightly cloudy now.

That comes with age. The gray hairs are beginning to ring my soft

muzzle.

You smile at me; I see love in your eyes. What do you see in mine? Do

you see a spirit? A soul inside, who loves you as no other could in the

world? A spirit that would forgive all trespasses of prior wrong doing

for just a simple moment of your time? That is all I ask. To slow down,

if even! for a few minutes to be with me. So many times you have been

saddened by the words you read on that screen, of others of my kind,

passing. Sometimes we die young and oh so quickly, sometimes so suddenly

it wrenches your heart out of your throat. Sometimes, we age so slowly

before your eyes that you may not even seem to know until the very end,

when we look at you with grizzled muzzles and cataract clouded eyes.

Still the love is always there, even when we must take that long sleep,

to run free in a far distant land.

I may not be here tomorrow; I may not be here next week. Someday you

will shed the water from your eyes, that humans have when deep grief

fills their souls, and you will be angry at yourself that you did not

have just "One more day" with me. Because I love you so, your sorrow

touches my spirit and grieves me. We have NOW, together. So come, sit

down here next to me on the floor, and look deep into my eyes. What do

you see? If you look hard and deep enough we will talk, you and I, heart

to heart. Come to me not as "alpha" or as "trainer" or even "Mom or

Dad," come to me as a living soul and stroke my fur and let us look deep

into one another's eyes, and talk.

I may tell you something about the fun of chasing a tennis ball, or I

may tell you something profound about myself, or even life in general.

You decided to have me in your life because you wanted a soul to share

such things with. Someone very different from you, and here I am. I am a

dog, but I am alive. I feel emotion, I feel physical senses, and I can

revel in the differences of our spirits and souls. I do not think of you

as a "Dog on two feet" -- I know what you are. You are human, in all

your quirkiness, and I love you still.

Now, come sit with me, on the floor. Enter my world, and let time slow

down if only for 15 minutes. Look deep into my eyes, and whisper to my

ears. Speak with your heart, with your joy and I will know your true

self. We may not have tomorrow, and life is oh so very short.
